What is move-in cleaning and when should I book it?
Move-in cleaning is a full deep clean of your new home while it is still empty, before your furniture and boxes arrive. An empty home is the only time we can reach inside every cabinet, every closet, behind where appliances will sit, and along every baseboard without working around your belongings. Most Calgary clients book it for the day before or the morning of their move so they unpack into a clean, sanitized space.
How much does move-in cleaning cost in Calgary?
Our flat-rate move-in cleaning in Calgary starts at $243 for a studio, $284 for a 1 bedroom, $338 for a 2 bedroom, $410 for a 3 bedroom, $495 for a 4 bedroom, and $608 for 5+ bedrooms. The rate is the same full deep clean whether you are moving into a downtown Beltline condo or a detached home in Evanston or Mahogany. Add-ons such as interior windows or carpet cleaning are available, and Alberta GST of 5% applies at checkout.
What exactly gets cleaned in an empty home before move-in?
We clean inside every kitchen cabinet, drawer and the pantry, inside and behind the fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave and dishwasher, and we degrease the range hood. Bathrooms get full sanitizing including descaling the shower, tub and tile, scrubbing grout, and the inside of the vanity. In every room we wipe baseboards, door frames, window sills and tracks, dust light fixtures and ceiling fans, clean inside all closets, and vacuum and mop the floors. Because the home is empty, nothing gets skipped.

Do I need to be home for the move-in cleaning?
No. Empty homes are actually faster and easier for us to clean, and many clients are mid-move on the day. Just arrange access for us, whether that is a key, a lockbox code, a building entry code, or having your property manager or realtor let us in. We will confirm the details when you book.
