House Cleaning Prices in Calgary by Property Type (2026)
Honest, flat-rate house cleaning prices in Calgary broken down by property type, home size, and clean type. See what a condo, townhouse, or detached home actually costs.
What House Cleaning Costs in Calgary, by Property Type
Calgary has a wide mix of housing, from Beltline high-rise condos to detached homes out in Cranston and Mahogany. Cleaning prices follow that mix. The biggest driver is not the postal code, it is the number of bedrooms and the type of clean you need. Below are our actual flat-rate prices, the same numbers our booking tool quotes, so you can plan before you ever call.
Every price here includes GST at checkout and comes with our 24-hour re-clean guarantee. No hourly surprises, no padding the bill after the fact.
How we price: ClearSky uses flat rates based on home size and clean type, not an hourly meter. You see the full number before you book. The prices below are base rates before GST and before any optional add-ons.
Standard House Cleaning Prices
A standard clean is your regular upkeep visit: kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying living spaces. It is the right fit for a home that is already in reasonable shape and just needs a reset.
| Home Size | Typical Calgary Property | Standard Clean | |-----------|--------------------------|----------------| | Studio | Beltline or Mission bachelor suite | $135 | | 1 bedroom | Downtown or East Village condo | $158 | | 2 bedrooms | Townhouse or mid-size condo | $189 | | 3 bedrooms | Detached home in Evanston or Airdrie | $230 | | 4 bedrooms | Larger detached home in Auburn Bay | $279 | | 5+ bedrooms | Executive home in Cranston or Aspen | $333 |
These are one-time rates. If you book recurring service, the price drops (more on that below).
Deep Cleaning Prices
A deep clean is the first-visit reset or the seasonal scrub. It covers everything a standard clean does, plus detailed work on baseboards, inside cabinet faces, behind and under accessible furniture, light fixtures, and the hard-water buildup that Calgary homes collect. Our tap water runs 165 to 215 mg/L in hardness, so shower glass, faucets, and tile grout take real descaling time here that they would not in a soft-water city.
| Home Size | Typical Calgary Property | Deep Clean | |-----------|--------------------------|------------| | Studio | Beltline bachelor suite | $216 | | 1 bedroom | Inner-city condo | $257 | | 2 bedrooms | Townhouse or condo | $311 | | 3 bedrooms | Detached home | $378 | | 4 bedrooms | Larger detached home | $459 | | 5+ bedrooms | Executive home | $558 |
First clean is usually a deep clean. If your home has not had a professional clean in a while, we recommend starting with a deep clean so your recurring visits stay quick and consistent. You can read more in our deep cleaning service overview.
Move-Out Cleaning Prices
Move-out cleaning is the most detailed service, built to meet a landlord or property manager inspection. It is empty-home work: inside closets, inside cabinets and drawers, window tracks, and every surface that furniture used to cover. Under the Alberta Residential Tenancies Act, you are responsible for returning the unit in the condition you received it, minus normal wear and tear, so this clean is about protecting your deposit.
| Home Size | Typical Calgary Property | Move-Out Clean | |-----------|--------------------------|----------------| | Studio | Bachelor rental suite | $243 | | 1 bedroom | Condo or apartment | $284 | | 2 bedrooms | Townhouse or condo | $338 | | 3 bedrooms | Rental house | $410 | | 4 bedrooms | Larger rental house | $495 | | 5+ bedrooms | Executive rental | $608 |
Most Calgary leases turn over at month end, and July 1 is the busiest moving day of the year province-wide. If your move-out lands in that window, book two to three weeks ahead so you are not stuck without a cleaner the day before inspection.
How Property Type Changes the Price
Two homes with the same bedroom count can clean differently. Here is what actually moves the number in Calgary.
Condos and apartments
High-rise and low-rise condos tend to be the most efficient to clean. They are compact, often have fewer bathrooms, and the layouts are predictable. A 1-bedroom Beltline condo at $158 for a standard clean is one of the most common bookings we handle. The main variable is interior windows, which floor-to-ceiling units have a lot of.
Townhouses
Townhouses add stairs and usually a second or third bathroom. That extra vertical space and additional bathroom are why a 2-bedroom townhouse prices the same as a 2-bedroom condo by bedroom count, but a 3-bedroom townhouse with a finished basement often fits the 3-bedroom rate at $230 standard.
Detached homes
Detached homes in communities like Evanston, Cranston, Auburn Bay, and out in Airdrie, Cochrane, and Okotoks carry the most square footage per bedroom. More floor area, more windows, and often a finished basement. These are where the 3, 4, and 5+ bedroom rates apply.
Condition matters as much as size. Our flat rates assume a home in typical lived-in condition. Heavy grease buildup, smoke residue, or significant pet damage can require a deep clean instead of a standard one, or specific add-ons. Be honest about condition when you book so your quote is accurate the first time.
Add-Ons (Optional, Same for Every Property Type)
Add-ons let you tailor any clean without bumping into a higher tier. These prices are flat and identical regardless of home size.
| Add-On | Price | |--------|-------| | Inside fridge | $32 | | Inside oven | $32 | | Interior windows | $36 | | Laundry (per load) | $23 | | Bedding change (per bed) | $14 | | Carpet cleaning | $86 |
Carpet cleaning is worth calling out for Calgary specifically. Chinook freeze-thaw cycles and winter road salt get tracked indoors from November through March, and that salt is hard on carpet fibres and hardwood alike. A carpet add-on at $86 is a common request after a long winter.
Recurring Service Saves the Most
If you book regular visits instead of one-time cleans, the price drops on every visit. This is where most Calgary households get the best value.
| Frequency | Discount | Example: 3BR Standard ($230) | |-----------|----------|------------------------------| | Weekly | 20% off | $184 per visit | | Bi-weekly | 15% off | $196 per visit (rounded) | | Monthly | 10% off | $207 per visit | | One-time | No discount | $230 |
Bi-weekly is the sweet spot for most Calgary homes. It keeps a 3-bedroom detached home consistently clean without the cost of weekly service, and at 15% off it is the most popular cadence we run. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Quick Reference: What Should I Expect to Pay?
- Inner-city 1-bedroom condo, regular upkeep: $158 standard, or $134 per visit on bi-weekly recurring (rounded).
- 2-bedroom townhouse, first professional clean: $311 deep clean to reset, then standard visits after.
- 3-bedroom detached home in Evanston, ongoing: $230 standard one-time, dropping to $196 bi-weekly.
- 2-bedroom rental, moving out: $338 move-out clean to protect your deposit.
Prices shown are base rates before GST. Add-ons and your selected frequency adjust the final total, which you will always see in full before you confirm.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why flat rate instead of hourly?
Hourly pricing punishes you for a slow day or rewards a rushed job. Flat rate ties the price to the result, so you know the cost up front and we have no reason to drag out a visit. For more on choosing a cleaner, see our guide on how to choose a cleaning company in Calgary.
Do you charge more for specific Calgary communities?
No. Whether you are in the Beltline, Mahogany, Airdrie, or Okotoks, the price is set by home size and clean type, not location. We serve Calgary and the surrounding towns at the same flat rates.
Is the first clean always more expensive?
Often, yes. If your home has not had a professional clean recently, we usually recommend a deep clean for the first visit so recurring visits can stay on the standard rate. After that reset, your ongoing price is the standard tier minus your recurring discount.
What is not included in the base price?
Inside fridge, inside oven, interior windows, laundry, bedding changes, and carpet cleaning are optional add-ons. Everything else (kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surfaces) is part of the base clean.
Calgary housing is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is the cost to clean it, but the rate should never be a mystery. Whether you are in a compact East Village condo or a five-bedroom in Cranston, the price you see here is the price our booking tool quotes, GST and re-clean guarantee included. Pick your property size, pick your clean type, and book your cleaning online to lock in the exact total in about two minutes.
